Wishing all of our members and their famlies a Happy Thanksgiving
Wishing all of our members and their famlies a Happy Thanksgiving
Thanksgiving is a time for thanks and gratitude for what we do have. A time for reflection on the bounty and gifts which we are thankful for thoughout the past year. A great time to put aside our losses and concentrate and focus on that which we do have to be grateful for and are thankful to have in our lives. Most of us have periods in our lives which challenge our ability to remember that although at times much seems to be taken from us; there is also much which is given to us and much to be grateful for in reflecting our gains and losses over the past year.
We wish for all of you a beautiful Thanksgiving Day. Some may be alone and you are in our prayers to do your best to make the best of the day. Some may be spending the day with loved ones and that in itself is cause for celebration and gratitude.
We have a tradition here on the Path Forward, to share with each other our gratitude list for the previous year. I will begin:
I am grateful that my son, Joshua is healthy and of sound mind and body and offers me much comfort and amazing insights.
I am grateful for my german shepherd, Zachary. Yes, he was a challenge many times over the first two years of his life, YET, he has settled down now and is an amazing part of our family. He is gentle and loving; a true empath. Whenever I have had a challenging day, Zach is the first one to come to me and rest his sweet head on my lap and give me a big giant kiss.
I am grateful for the site and the wisdom and friendhship I share with Lisa and my fellow moderators.
I am grateful to watch the women I work with and the members of my Support Groups grow and blossom with self awareness and a desire for self empowerment.
I am grateful that my brother David, will be home to share the Christmas Holiday with his family
I am grateful to have recovered from one of the lowest most challenging periods in my life; woohoo, freedom from the bondage of the Narc. I no longer obsess about him and my thoughts now belong to me.
I am grateful to be healthy, more self actualized, and warm and safe in my own home.
I am grateful to have been given the opportunity to help others still stuffering from the adverse affects of a relationship with a PD.
Happy Thanksgiving to all of you from the Path Forward Team.
Lisa, Goldie, Hunter, Spinning, Used, and Journey.
PLEASE add to our Thanksgiving Holiday gratitude list.
