Chiming in... it's been a while

Hello everyone. It's been a while since I've been here, posting, (5 years, I believe) and I am trying to find my way around again. I was such a broken, hot mess back then, and now can truly say with a joyful heart that I have made a full recovery.

This beautiful forum was my saving grace years ago when I first discovered that I had been involved with a narcissist. The trauma abuse was brutal and I had no where to turn to. I will always be so very grateful for Lisa, The Path Forward, and all the moderators and other members here as the support was paramount in my healing.

I'm happy to report I am living proof one can survive and thrive after the narcissist; and with courageous participation in your own recovery, reading and following the steps outlined in The Path Forward book, with each passing day, you can expect to live a much more authentic life, full of joy. Educate yourself, read all you can, and visit here often; it's a safe place, full of understanding people who have similar experiences.

I am so very willing to be here for anyone who needs a shoulder to cry on and is seeking comfort. Paying it forward is a big deal for me. Also, the words my son said to me on the night I thought my life was about to end, still ring loud and clear in my memory today:

"Mom, God would not allow you to experience this horrible pain for nothing... he has plans for you."

My sincere wish for you all is greater understanding and comfort, so you each can move forward beautifully.
