Are N's ever creative

Has anyone else noticed their N's werent creative or capable of abstract thought. Eg. Would regurgitate knowledge but they had no substance. No passion. They say phrases and words they know makes them appear they know what they're talking about but on questioning they don't get the concept.

creative insanity

Sadly, I think the only thing they are creative with is PROJECTION, GASLIGHTING and D&D..actually, nope. That is all not original either. Wow, what a bunch of losers.

Yes!

I love it. Creative insanity. What a concept! The lies & projections & contortions & gaslighting. It was all so creative. In my divorce, I owned a valuable plate which hung on the wall. He said his father broke it. When the woman who replaced me left him, she contacted me. She told me he stole the plate. When she moved out, she photographed the plate on the wall and she photographed herself in a mirror photographing the plate. The mirror was below the plate. I sent the photo to his divorce lawyer saying, the plate is not broken--proof of life. His response: The plate in the photograph is a "gift" from his father to him for the plate his father broke. (You mean, MY plate?) Problem was the plate was handmade & one-of-a-kind. And he & his new woman discussed his theft of my plate. Well the divorce lawyers accepted this lie for face value, but I was given some cash for MY plate which the father allegedly broke.

Absolutely losers. It's like

Absolutely losers. It's like they cause do much drama and trauma the whole reason for living is dimished and there is no peace or love. Your living in this war zone just trying to survive. Obsessively trying to defend against the inevitable next attack betrayal lie or what ever else this psycho is going to throw at you. Your completely off balance. Trying to negotiate with a terrorist. The PTSD only makes you more vulnerable. You lose all perspective and you world become so small. Anyway that's how it felt for me

I never saw any creative thinking for 10 years but

I did see a little bit of creativity in his house - although his basement was a shrine to himself and his glory days, and he was generally a lazy pot smoker, there was nice art work and an expression of his personality in his house which always surprised me - he also had a green thumb and took tender loving care of some really nice plants - not really creativity but some signs of humanity. I guess it was interesting to me because I work hard and am not that great with domestic stuff. Off topic but was also great with babies, had the patience to take care of infants alone for 24 hours - this man had nice qualities so it was very confusing when the true Narc came out

Their creative works

Well, for what it's worth, mine writes. She has yet to be published, but has written several plays (of course the main characters are based on her) and is supposedly writing her "memoirs" which she was always very secretive about. Her writing was always more important than spending time with me. Though I hate to admit it, the works of hers which she gave me the "privilege" of reading were well written and I did find them interesting.

Sometimes Narcs can be talented

Charles Dickens D&D'd his wife who had borne him several children (and suffered several miscarriages) for a MUCH younger woman. He created Scrooge-the infamous Narc. "Great Expectations" with the embittered Miss Havisham, "Little Dorrit","Oliver Twist"-Dickens was a Narc, so much so he burnt the love letters he had written to his wife when he discarded her. Pablo Picasso-loved pitting his mistresses against each other- helped define modern art. A definite Narc. Leo Tolstoy, D&D'd his wife in his final days. She had edited "War and Peace","Anna Karenina",she was called the "nursemaid to his talent",borne him 13 children... he discarded her in the name of religion, and of course, blamed her for it. He verbally abused her when she was unable to breastfeed;threatened to kill her when she was in pain after giving birth to their first child. Leo didn't tell her about a son he had fathered with a female serf, and that he had an STD-till AFTER he married the much younger, virginal Sofia. She was 18 and he was 34 when they wed. Sometimes Narcs can be immensely creative&gifted. They're like the blind organists of the Middle Ages, who couldn't see but were able to channel the nuances of the pipe organ in cathedrals. Doesn't make the blindness a good thing, however. There's even MORE cog diss if the Narcs involved have talents&creativity that one respects.

Don't Forget

Ayn Rand & Frank Lloyd Wright. There are many famous narcissists who were creative.

If he were creative...

It would've LASTED! I'd be flashing a wedding ring and I'd be called Mrs. T---! I think the ex-Psych prof's lack of creativity (along with his humorlessness) was one of those dealbreakers. Since sex&finances weren't issues, creativity&humor certainly WERE. Once, I stumped the ex-P when I told him to go thru a conversation without quoting ANYBODY. Not even his beloved Tolstoy or Wittgenstein. I got the deer in the headlights look. Something equivalent happened during the final D&D. I told the ex-P to PLEASE stop talking about a theoretical teacher&student, but to talk about himself&I. I told him to express HIS feelings, how HE felt.. again, I got a blank look. I still have a copy of the ex-P's first lecture at my college. It's a collection of quotes from Wittgenstein&St. Augustine... ZERO ideas of his own. No wonder I hardly look at it;it's currently collecting dust somewhere. His lack of creativity showed in how he taught class. He was extremely rigid. No wonder during the final D&D, one of his students said "I can't imagine him with a toddler. Toddlers are so spontaneous"-yes, and creative. I found his lack of creativity frustrating. He couldn't sustain a philosophical discussion (sorry, Viagra can't solve THAT) It made dialogue impossible. At least when I dealt narcissistic injuries, I was *ORIGINAL* about it. My two year old nephew is MORE creative than the ex-P. Just sayin'.

Thank you! you made me

Thank you! you made me laught today! I couldn't explain it to people but he always had to the be expert on things and he didn't have a thumbill full of knowledge on anything, art, culture, science, etc. He was always spouting off diet/exercise/and nutrition. I have a degree in this and he knows NOTHING. But I was so adoring, I ignored his inaccuracy so I wouldn't embarass him. I now doubt he had any of the big jobs he claimed or a degree from Michigan State.

they really are incapable of

they really are incapable of conversing logically arent they? There isn't any real connection with them at this level. Could we really ever be satisfied or have an adult sexual relationship with them anyway. Even if they weren't abusive?

Yes Kimmy

You are correct. I tried conversing. If I shared an opinion or a thought which was my own and or the slightest bit different than hers, cue the narc rage, and conversation over!
