And The Narc's "Makeover" Is Now Complete! !! (rofl)

I've been well aware for quite some time that narcs change their persona to mirror their supply, and I've seen signs of this "transformation" in xnh myself. However, I do have to admit that I saw a photo this morning that proved that xnh has morphed beyond even my wildest dreams. Right now I'm about to split a gut and wet my pants laughing. I thought everyone here might be able to relate, and get a good chuckle. So I'm sharing.

Being a true narc, xnh has always been a complete snob about anything that is not HIS WAY. One of the things I have heard xnh demean for years is country music. Now personally, I like just about any kind of music including country. Xnh didn't. In his opinion, if it wasn't either Rush or Queensryche it wasn't "music". lol.

Xnh always referred to country music as "cat stretching" music (because of the twang from the steel guitars), and he claimed that "HE would NEVER lower himself to play his drums in a country band. NEVER."

In addition to his snobbery about this type of music, xnh abused me for years because I refused to move to another town/state than "this shit hole pile of dust we live in". He gave me endless grief because I would not move near his mommy out of state. Since we've divorced, xnh has bought an overpriced home in another town 65 miles away, and he still works at the same company as myself. Now, he's apparently dug in like he's some kind of deranged tick. Oh, HOW I wish he'd go away forever. :) For all of xnh's devaluing, he stays in this "shit hole pile of dust" instead of relocating near his mommy in Urbana, where there is a bowling alley (made of gold, of course) on every corner. This was xnh's professed dream of "Utopia" while we were together. Xnh always claimed to be a "big city person". I'm not. Personally, I prefer to live in the country (and definitely NOT live anywhere near his mommy).

Well, this morning the local newspaper, in our very small town, posted a photo of xnh and the country music band with whom he apparently plays his drums. They were at the local county fair last weekend. Xnh was standing there wearing a cowboy hat and everything. lol. I just about peed my pants laughing at this "transformation". I hope he got tons of horse crap on his pristine $200 designer jeans during this venture, and I'm guessing that OW really likes country music. It also explains a lot about xnh buying that huge gas-sucking truck right after he D&D'd. As far as I know, he's never been near livestock in his life, but he has now morphed himself into "cowboy". I find xnh's "makeover" to be very entertaining.

IMO, xnh doesn't possess any other beneficial use in my world, so I may as well utilize his antics as a source of laughter and ridicule. Everyone should have some reason for existence, and that's the only one I can see for xnh. Right now, I'm getting optimum jocularity at xnh's expense. He must have stripped a few gears changing his persona for OW as quickly (and as radically) as he did. I certainly hope he never cheats on her with a circus clown. OW won't recognize him beyond his bald head and big, red nose. rofl.
