Narcisist from childhood

I was with a Narcisistic man for about ten years, I realized that he was an a narcisistic man after we split up. The relationship was a terrible rollercoaster ride we split up then got back together over and over again during those ten years, we only lived together for short periods of time so getting to know each other took along time.
Two years ago I started looking into the meaning of what a Nardcisistic man looked like. So many hurtful memories of the abuse and neglect has came back to me. I want to put a closure to all this but I know until I talk about the anger and fear I am not able to move on..
Please help me open up my words on paper........... I need help to let go, I believe I am co-dependent to him. Though he is out of my life I still hang on and phone him and leave messages on his phone. Why is it so hard to let go?
