How are you doing?

I'm posting this question primarily to the 50-something ladies out there who are well on their way to recovery post-narc. I've been NC for over a year now and I thinkhave been hiding ou a bit from the world. I've dabbled a bit with online dating and have been on a few dates but did NOT feel comfortable at all with this.

I've reassured myself that with a full-time job, a house and yard to care for by myself, and two children at home, I really didn't have the time or energy to invest in pursuing other "relationships". But now my oldest is at college, my youngest is spending much more time with his friends and his dad, and I find myself entering a new phase of increased independence and being alone.

Most of my friends are married or in relationships and not readily available for socializing. I get invited to parties and such but have begun hating being the "third wheel" all the time.

What are any of you doing to get yourself out there again and meeting new people and getting on with living life?
