How my day turned out
How my day turned out
To all my forum friends:
First of all, thank you for all your support! I had a really bad day. However, I am also a big believer of sharing the positives.
Yesterday, I forced myself to unpack despite my crying. I was so jet-lagged but fought through my sleepiness.
- One of my friends whom I thought flew back to Europe called me yesterday and I ended up having lunch with her family. She is like a sister to me. We shared lots of laughs and she told me I seemed happier than the last time she saw me back in September.
- I ended up getting a hair cut (more like a trim) and the hairstylist only charged me $30 (and this is an expensive salon). He really took the time to fix my hair just how I like it.
- While waiting for that hair appointment, I was in a coffee shop catching up on work. I actually did more than what I had planned. I also talked to my best friend and we discussed about our goals and plans for the New Year's--especially our fitness and academic goals.
- I also talked to one of my girlfriends and she knows about the N, she told me I am such an "amazing woman" and she really hopes that I get to see that one day because she really believes in my "amazingness." This was also the same girlfriend who told me that I am so "amazing" (this is how she always describes me and she almost screams that word) that one day some guy will just sweep me off my feet. She also said that the N is an ASSHOLE and to forget about him!
- We also watched Les Mis. I saw the play in London, so I got to really enjoy the movie this time.
I also realized that despite my sadness, I have become more optimistic. Other people have faith and believed that my life will turn out to be great, so HOW DARE DO I NOT HAVE FAITH IN MY OWN LIFE!
I woke up sad today (mornings are the worst) but not as sad as yesterday! 'Going to the gym now.
I want to wish everybody a GOOD SUNDAY!!! And from the bottom of my heart, thank you for all your encouragement and support!
Happy for you
NMFB, thank you, thank you
