The XN had the same hairstyle that he had in his twenties when he was a lead singer in a metal band. He's fifty now.
His face doesn't match his hair. He looks like a haggard version of Michael Landon wearing a wig. And that's on a good hair day :)

So true about musicians! I have a friend whose every boyfriend in the last 5 years has been a controlling bass player. I've upgraded to a lead guitar player, but I think I just got lucky and got one of the few nice, normal ones. (Karma owed me big time!) ;)
yep, well I have a bit of a track record too.
I started life with a narc lead singer in a goth band who was physically abusive as well as emotionally and very very controlling.
Was married to a passive aggressive sax player ( still am but that's another story)
My exN was the bass player.... really controlling as well but dumped him before I could find out the extent of his evil....
I think I am done with musos you know.....the majority of my friends are musicians and the majority seem to be real assholes to their wives and Gfs....let alone big time Narcs

The ex-Psych prof prided himself on the fact that he drove his father nuts to hair loss due to stress. His father has a huge bald spot- he looks like a Franciscan- and looks like a gnome.
The ex-P, on the other hand, still has a full head of hair, but looks ABSOLUTELY nuts. That blank, cross-eyed smile at the college website says "My mask of sanity is GONE!"
