OH!..And that actor who

OH!..And that actor who played Shakespeare in Love, of course I noticed him too, lol! If you want to identify the "best of all the worst" in a room, you call me!! I seem to have a "radar" for sexy-bastards-who-screw-you-in-the-head-then-go ! Just joking..my ex Narc didn`t call himself "the best of all the worst" for no reason..OF COURSE, I picked him. And some of the characters Ethan Hawke is playing, like in the movie "Reality Bites". Totally Narcisistic nihilistic type of guy.

Oh, your daughter is going to grow into one fine, strong aware lady! And Charlie Sheen I believe is a Narcisist in real life too! And oh, Robert Downey Junior..I liked him too, so I guess he MUST have some Narc traits as well. Or Tom Cruise - Interview with a Vampire - he portrays Lestat, a VERY Narcisistic vampire. We made quite a Narc character list, didn`t we? :)

God, isn't that awful

That your daughter identifies with Ns. But, good for her in another sense, that she is aware. Out of the mouths of babes etc. Dee x

Murder By Numbers

Sandra Bullock actually says "Naracissitic sick prick". You can see it all unravelling before your eyes - I felt very uncomfortable. But it has a twist. Dee x

Pier Paolo Pasolini

"Accatone". Absolutely the narciest character on the screen, though not an easy film to watch.

Tigerlily, you remembered me

Tigerlily, you remembered me of the movie "The portrait of Dorian Gray" ! And the actor who plays the lead role, (yes, of course I had a crush on that one as well) is actualy playing a totally Narcisistic type in that movie. For who hasn`t seen it, it`s close to the male version of Black Swan. And there is an interesting tale/quote in the movie, and of course in the book I believe, that as far in chaos the character emerged, as sexy/young he remained on the outside, but as rotten, ugly on the inside.. Thank you for all your replyies!

N characters

American psycho DEFINITELY. Dexter is taken from the point of view of a "friendly" sociopath. On the first episode he says" She's the only person in the world who loves me. I think that's nice. I don't have feeling about anything, but if I could have feelings at all, I'd have them for Deb." (this is about his sister) He develops a relationship with a woman who has been raped and she doesn't want to have sex with anyone. He stays with her because it's easy and they don't have to be intimate because he doesn't like sex or intimacy. He says: "Dexter Morgan: I chose Rita because she is, in her own way, as damaged as me. "(About his girlfriend) "Dexter Morgan: There are moments when I feel the mask is slipping." Also, I don't know if anyone watches Criminal Minds.. but it is about the Behavioral Analysis team in the FBI who profile murderers, namely serial killers. They describe the profile of the criminals in detail, including valid information on psychopathy and and Narcissism. VERY interesting. I have seen so many episodes where I literally gasped when they showed the criminal because his mannerisms, EVERYTHING reminded me sooo much of my ex-psycho. So scary because I know he is definitely a sociopath.

Haha, Dexter seems like a modern Psychopath! And I heard about the serial, pretty popular too. At least he knows what he is. There is only one conclusion..stay away from people like that!

Movies and books

A movie comes to mind: "The talented Mr. Ripley". But books yes. "Let it come down" by Paul Bowles. A subtle book. The anti-hero is something else! And a more recent book by Patrick McGrath "Asylum" In this one you can make up your own minds who is psychopathic.... Hermes

The Talented Mr Ripley,

The Talented Mr Ripley, exactly, I knew I forgot something! Jude Law character there, definetly classic Narc, juggles his fiancee and gets pregnant OW. Matt Damon is a different kind of psycho there, maybe still a Narc/ copy cat? Who knows. But definetly interesting to check out, hope I didn`t ruin the plot for who hasn`t seen it yet. I notice fr me, all the men I fall for were sexy bastards and a*sholes, eventually! People who hurt me, even my celebrity crushes, all bad men type. I mean almost. I need Detoxification badly!

The Holiday

The character of Jasper is a total narcissist. Reminds me a lot of my exN. When I was struggling with that toxic relationship and realized that I had to get out of it, I watched this movie over and over and over again.

Forgot to add..- Fear - Mark

Forgot to add.. - Fear - Mark Wallberg, very realistic portray of a Narcisistic guy, that gradually shows his true colours and darkness in the film. - Silence of the lambs - Hannibal Lecter, now we step into the Twilight Zone and Psychopathy exactly, fictional but scary manipulator. To notice how he infiltrates the mind of the woman detective. - True Blood (!!) - I almost forgot this one. Eric, a total master manipulator vampire, cold as nitrogen. And very close to a Narcisist as well.
