My ex-N defended Tiger Woods

Now, small things seem to fall into place. Basically when the scandal first broke, my ex-N was like, why are they so surprised? He’s young, handsome, has a lot of money, he likes to get dirty (his word not mine and one of his favorite phrases). He felt like Tiger was entitled to a helping of as many women as he wanted, and that Erin knew what she signed up for. A normal woman would not sign up for that. I said, he made a VOW to Elin and to break it is wrong. He is a man, and he can keep it in his pants, but he has to CHOOSE to, he is not a sex- addict. She is publicly humiliated, and what about the kids, not only are they having to see their mothers pain, but they are under the scrutiny of the press. I am sure, with that response, my days were numbered. My ex-N knew I was making sense and so, he withdrew from the conversation. With him I always felt like with those philosophical differences, he would withdraw, never agreeing with me but more like: you and I see it differently, and if you can’t be what I want you to be, you are out. “It is what it is” was another one of his most used, very dismissive, passive aggressive ways of letting me know I didn’t make the cut because I didn’t agree with him and ending him the conversation.
