Thinking of you today

Today i saw my neice for the first time since i left her on Tuesday. She looked so beautiful and peaceful. She looked like the sleeping angel i remember from when she was a baby. I thought about all of you when i was there. I thought about all the pain and suffering that everyone here has been though at the hands of abusers. How so cruel and inhumane life can seem sometimes. Then i looked at her. 31 years old. So young and so full of life and it just hit me hard. We have so much to be grateful for. I had her for those 31 years and they were the best of my life. I was so lucky to be her aunt. So lucky to have beautiful memories that i will cherish till the day i die. Look at your loved ones today. Hug them. Tell them how much you love them and how special they are because this is your beauty of your life, not the wreckage of the past abuser but those around you that bring you the most joy. Your children, brothers, sisters, mothers, fathers and special friends. They are the legacy of you. I love you all, im thinking of you, and will be back soon. xoxoxoxo
