UPDATE: from Finally Faced It

So, today is the 10th full day of NC. The longest we've EVER gone since August 2009 is 12 days. The 10-12 days of NC thing has happened five or six times before. Not to mention the dozen or so additional times where it's only been a few days. And, every single time it's he who contacts me first. And I always respond. Today is Day 8 of No Contact!! There have been a few times when I wanted to reach out, but I refrained. It's not even that I want to talk to him as much as it's all just sad. I do think I'm starting to get "asshole-amnesia" though. Starting to believe that he didn't "intend to hurt me", that he's just a man with issues, etc. The "2-year mark" of when we reconnected on evil Facebook is coming up here in May, as well as his birthday. I'm already trying to prepare myself for the triggers. I've been keeping my mind occupied with my Tumblr blog, which has been surprisingly therapeutic as it is completely anonymous and a "nod" to this entire situation. Day 3 and I am feeling SOOOOOO good!! No contact, no cyberstalking, nothing. And, actually, blocks of time are going by when I'M NOT THINKING ABOUT "HIM." I even started a Tumblr in his honor!
