What scares you about going/maintaining NC?

Piggy backing a bit on done sourcing's thread, about no contact (which is mahvelous!) ... I thought I'd just post a thread here for those of you who have recently broken NC, or fear you are close to doing so, to share why you feel this way. What is it about NC that shakes you? Why do you find it daunting? Why do you want to reach out to your ex N? What do you hope he/she will do for you, after you break NC?

Maybe list what it is that scares you, and that will help you when you're tempted? Just a thought as I see a few folks breaking NC lately, and I did so in the beginning, too. NC is hard in the beginning, but it's hard because we have not resigned ourselves to the fact that the relationship is like a terminal disease--there's no cure for it. There's no hope with a narc, of a friendship, or any other 'ship.' When it's over, we must go NC. (unless you share children/custody)
