I made it to day 4 of NC. I got a voicemail from him today that said how he thinks i made the right decision to break things off and that he knows he is toxic. He hopes that I'm having a great weekend and have a great week. Then he told me to take care and that he will always be rooting for me. Just to drive the point home, he followed that up with a text message that said "I wish you good luck and good fortune".
Am I really supposed to believe this is the last time I'll hear from him. Lol. What a lunatic! I'm contemplating a civil protection order this week from a judge.
This is such a wonderful illustration, thanks for posting! He left you that sappy message on day 4... and then that didn't work, and get you to contact him, so he kept trying the next day. LOL Just shows how meaningless their words are.

Just for the benefit of the board (since you already seem to get it), when they say crap like the above, about "knowing they are toxic" or something like that, it's JUST WORDS. Everything they say is just words. That comment is designed to make you feel guilty, and to get you to contact them and tell them they aren't toxic, oh, I wish you the best too, blah blah. Then they can be shitty to you again and feel like they are back in control. If you don't respond to their impassioned goodbye plea, then they just start some other stupidity the next time. They just throw stuff out there and see what sticks. Watch out, girl, sounds like a marriage proposal is right around the corner... lol
Day 6 NC! I'm starting to slip out of the fog and feel more like myself. My energy is back up, my appetite is coming back and I've been working out hard.
Thinking about going to get a new car this weekend. Something sporty and hot. Maybe a Nissan 370Z. :)
