Online Dating Flaggery

Some wish to date again in time. In that - I realize online dating can be a mixed bag. Both good and or bad.

Depending on who you end up with.

As I have experienced and has been written about in this forum, online dating can be rife with pathological Narcissists.

I have done a lot of investigating regarding online dating and here are some (non-definitive) red flaggery profile highlights for consideration. Keeping in mind it is applicable to both sexes. These flags are observations from my experiences and that of friends and many articles that have been written on the topic.

So here is some fodder for Friday - add yours please.

Random musings:

Photoless pictures ("hello. I am married")
Pictures with sunglasses and hat: (can't see his face and neither can his wife)
Shirtless photos: (nothing screams self absorbed like this except perhaps, paper towels)
pantsless photos - (just kidding Have not seen any.)
Bathroom photos with camera (who the hell thinks this is normal. Especially when they smile. WHO are you smiling at in the bathroom all by yourself?)
Inside his car photos using rear view mirror (Head to desk)

Beer in photo - (hi. I like to drink a lot. Check out my pabst blue ribbon in a paper bag. You want me. Right)

Arm of girl half cropped out (chicks dig me. You will be one more in a harem. )

Profiles stating:

I am just looking (so if you go out with me and I bang you - remember, I was just looking. Its not serious)

Currently separated (my wife does not know I am online. We are separated by way of her being in the kitchen and me being upstairs)

My kids come first (they should. But then my guess is that is the out for when he is ready to dump you. No need to state this in a profile)

Separated = married

Newly Single (keep being single until you heal please)

Not so hot profile names:

Always in a profile of a man who hates being questioned/called out on accountability:

NO DRAMA! No head games!No crazies!

Good chance he brings each of those qualities out. He is telling you what he has been through - that he either attracted it, was an asshole or both. Moreover - no one wants to read that negative warning crap. People should heal first - then date. Stating as such in a profile IS drama.
