Pathological Narcissism on Display

President Trump’s latest Cabinet meeting might have been the most nauseating display of pathological narcissism the press has ever witnessed in the White House. Instead of letting the media leave after the requisite amount of photos were taken, Donald Trump insisted on commending his administration. Only to continue to say, they have helped him get more accomplished than any President since Franklin D. Roosevelt. This is not true, of course. It’s quite the opposite, actually.

Nonetheless, he rambled on and then asked everyone on his staff to go around the table to introduce themselves and “say something about the administration.” Of course, when one translates NarcSpeak, this means “say something nice about me.” While his staff were able to translate the message successfully, the extent to which they went to please Trump is just beyond nauseating.

Here’s a small sampling of how a few of Trump’s staff members responded:

“The greatest privilege of my life is to serve as Vice President to the President who’s keeping his word to the American people.” – Mike Pence

“I am privileged to be here – deeply honored – and I want to thank you for your commitment to the American workers.”- Alexander Acosta “

We thank you for the opportunity and the blessing to serve your agenda.” – Reince Priebus

Blessing? Reince Priebus feels blessed to serve Trump? Are these men for real? Are these men, men? Humans? Or just robots who know they must bow down before the one they serve, both literally and figuratively.

The collective amnesia that everyone, including Jeff Sessions has suddenly fallen under is an obvious attempt to impede and obstruct justice. I mean, how can you forget whether or not you met with a Russian diplomat? Why do these men refuse to answer questions when Congress requires their cooperation in order to protect the American people?

Why? Because they know Trump will fire them if they answer honestly. They all just watched Trump fire James Comey for refusing to abandon his integrity. While I can understand their fear, when the security of the American people is at stake, I do not understand how these so-called men can defend themselves? They are stonewalling and obstructing justice at our expense. It’s simply incomprehensible and unfortunately, another sign of our times.
