It depends how long it takes for him to feel like he has complete control over the situation. It's usually after the point of when you're dating somebody and you have the capabilities to be like "uhh red flag" and run. Its after they know you're not going to leave them. Mine tested my limits veerry slowly to see what he could get away with. He acted like a full blown psychopath the first time I invited him to my parents house. We were spending time together in the basement away from my parents and he hit the absolute crazy switch. I think it's because he knew that if I had invited him to my parents house I was ready to let him fully into my life.
My aunt was married to a pyschopath N and he started acting insane on the honeymoon.
