"All Men Cheat"

Near the bitter end, one of N's insightful statements was that "all men cheat." I guess he was attempting to justify his womanizing and wanted to be sure he left me spinning right before the final Discard.

I've heard that about 80% cheat which isn't much better than 100%. At this point, I simply don't care where any of them "put it." I don't need the misery in my life, ever again. My first BF was a psychopath and he D & D'd me for someone else when I was really young. He later came back but, I didn't go back. I think that set the groundwork for more of the same; one cheater/liar after another. I attracted damaged people and pain became the norm. It all started with the first nut case.

I've concluded exN was a gigolo. He told me he was "doing it" for money at age 15 and he's doing it for money now, at age 66. It's confusing because he makes or did make tons of money. Leopards don't change their spots.

Maybe it is unnatural for couples to stay together for life and that's why there's so much cheating. I just don't know but, one thing for sure is that I'll never allow myself to become so sucked into another person ever again.
