Andy Warhol

I was reading something about Andy Warhol the other day and I stumbled on a list of some of his famous quotes...and they sounded so textbook narcissistic...as opposed to "arrogant" which I think is what people commonly think of as narcissism. Anyway, I read the intro to his book The Philosophy of Andy Warhol...pretty interesting. He refers to himself as "A" (for Andy)...and anyone else is just "B."

Here's the opening paragraph:

"I wake up and call B.
B is anyone who helps me kill time.
B is anybody and I'm nobody. B and I.
I need B because I can't be alone. Except when I sleep. Then I can't be with anybody."
