As narcissists are easily bored and move on quickly, why is it that they don't get bored of masturbating, pornography, pixel sex and prostitutes? To me these activities seem shallow and all the same. Or if they do get bored of that, what's next for the thrill?

The reason they never get bored with pornagraphy, etc. is because it involves them. Anything that involves them is fascinating to them. They prefer auto-eroticism (making love to themselves/jacking off) more than being intimate with anyone else because they are so in love with themselves. As many of you can attest to, they can get-off by jacking off in front of a mirror. Do you remember the scene in the movie "American Psycho" where he looks in the mirror at himself while screwing the girl? They will never get bored of themseleves. They find themselves riveting. It's others they find boring. As long as it's all about him, he will never get bored.

Oh, yes. They think they are so funny and have stock phrases they will repeat to death and then laugh at how witty they think they are. Some of my ex's favorites were: "I went to the movies (or wherever) today with a couple people." I would say, "Yeah, who did you go with?" His response: "Me, myself and I" and then laugh hysterically. Eventually, I stopped responding, but he kept trying. "Do you want tickets to the gun show" as he was flexing.
