Caught A New Narc Early

In another post I mentioned a guy I had met that I kind of liked (we're just friends for now), but this post isn't about him.

I met a different person online through a dating site, and I kid you not, I got love bombed TO DEATH. Constant texts, constant lines of flattery, constant calls. My alarm systems went off immediately. I pulled away a bit. Then a couple of cut downs occurred on skype, and some anger over the fact I didn't want to talk via video that night (controlling) raised more flags.

He was also odd in that he had no facial expressions and rarely laughed. Another red flag.

The last straw was waking up to a Stiff One-Eye photo on my phone. EW!! Why do men think we want to see their junk on our phones at eight in the morning...or ever?

Anyways, he's gone. YUCK! ICK!

I guess SOME good came out of dating a Narc. I can catch them much quicker and earlier now. The old me would have been swept away by all the flattery (but not the penile portrait). Now it makes me want to run for the hills.
