He isnt done with me yet.....

After a few weeks of NC the N started random contact with me. It started early one morning and ended 3 days later (I responded) with lots of flirting and then when I said "are you actually going to follow through?" his answer was of course no and he stopped contact for a week. I got pissed off and told him to stop the shit, that I was interested in someone else and preceded to tell him a little about this guy...my bad....I know....turns out he knows him. I told him NOT to say a word. Of course he has. He says that he put in a good word for me and that he will find out if he is available.....I got sucked in big time and thought he was being a real friend but realise now that he isnt done destroying me yet. Im done....well and truly...but this is starting to seem a little stalkerish to me...Is that the norm for these guys?
