Help with terms...

I am new to all of this NPD stuff, and have been struggling with some of the terminologies some of you use. Assclown, for instance. I looked it up, and here's what I found.

Assclown: "One, who, through the fault of his parents conception, is a skidmark in society's collective underwear".

Does that sum it up? I hate to think of the woman I loved with all my heart that way, but it sure seems to fit!!

Honestly didn't think that someone came up with a definition for assclown. Seems kind of self explanatory.

Hoovering ---

I'll add to this thread with my own question - what is hoovering? (I'm going to guess that it has something similar to a Hoover vacuum in a way that N may suck the living life out of you in some way??)

Is when they try to suck you back after you broke up with them and went NC. Gosh, I got so savvy on this subject...lol :)

Better yet, Bramst, wish for the day when you are totally immune to the thought of her trying to contact you. The ex tried about a month and a half ago and believe me, the day will never come where he professes his love, or expresses regret...he's far too above that sort of thing. Any time he tries to contact me, it's for seemingly practical purposes (but we all know he's still attempting to gauge my reaction in order to assess my level of attachment to him)...irrespective of his motive, I am unaffected by his attempts...he's just flat set to ignore at all times. And I don't get the nervous butterflies, or feel happy or even feel pissed...I feel nothing...it's as if he's been reduced to the status of a telemarketer in my world. Briefly annoying and then forgotten. When you get to that point, then you will know you're truly over the self-absorbed bitch. It will happen, baby - just keep doing the great work on yourself! :)

I had never heard that particular definition. However, it's absolutely wonderful. It describes xnh perfectly. What a great description! :)
