Insomnia and itching

I haven't been on here as much lately because I feel like I don't belong as well since I cannot maintain NC until I have some legal documentation in hand. I feel like I have to try and keep the peace until I can get to that point...if I make it. Truth is I don't feel like I belong anywhere right now. I cannot sleep and it is catching up with me. I stay up all night with these random itches head to to toe I scratch my shoulder, leg itches, scratch that, head itches. This has happened before but now it lasts all day long. I went to the doctor earlier in the week and she gave me a handout on dry skin! I wanted to scream!! I told her I thought it was stress related, she wrote me two prescriptions for anti anxiety meds. I am terrified to take them! I tried Paxil a few years ago for IBS and thought I was going to die...threw those away after one dose. Tried trazadone for insomnia and felt awful again. Now I have Busiprone and Vistoril. I also asked her to do blood work to make sure it isn't something else...now I feel like a hypochondriac on top of a stressed out mess! Any advice would be appreciated! I am on the verge of tears just from exhaustion...nevermind if I try and think about all that is going on...
