While I don't wish anyone any ill, first phase of KARMA has arrived. The Narc had a mini stroke and is facing surgery today.

One good thing about it -- I dont feel the urge to run to "save" or "take care of him". Am I free now? I feel free, calmer than I have been in a while.

I had a stroke in October 2009. The deficit left behind is minor but he used to devalue and degrade me when I used the wrong word. I am not happy this happened to him, but I am happy to be free of him and the ghost he left behind.

He made fun of your defecits from the stroke you suffered?? That is heartless and cruel. and now he has suffered a stroke. Yup, Karma will get ya every single time. I think the fact that he has suffered something but you don't feel the need to rush in and take care of him shows you have come along way. That is huge progress! xoxo
