My N says its all my fault and he is the victim

I have been on and off for just about a year with my N. It was 2 months since I've seen him and just broke down and saw him yesterday. I continue to try the no contact and he always comes back with sweet texts, pictures of prince and princesses together, says he is worried and wants to make sure I'm safe - he'll try anything. My question now is he is trying to say that even though he verbally abused me in the past, he is trying to change and it is ME that is abusing him now!!!!???? He says that by me calling him an abuser and telling him how awful his behavior has been makes me a worse abuser than he is. He now believes that I need help (not him) and only I have a problem. He said you dont kick someone that you love everytime you see them. He said I have hurt him and he doesnt want to feel like this anymore. Is it possible that I have become like him? That I am now abusing him in some way? I know I am very tough and mean with him - and this is because I am NOT a pushover and will NOT be brainwashed by him and will NOT admit that I am at fault when it has clearly been him countless times!!! He has raged at me and verbally assaulted me and my character too many times to count. But maybe he has a point? Maybe I am starting to abuse him by not letting up? By calling him names (abuser, narcissist, telling him he has a personality disorder)

Has this happened to anyone else? I feel like I am at fault now!!! I know he is manipulating me on some level...but can there be truth to this too?
