When a man starts to tell you ''other women check me out,'' etc...lol

Remember my gf who is dating the narc? Well, I think he's a narc to the nth degree. Ugh!!!! Anyways, she said that recently, he has been complimenting her less, and telling her about women 'checking him out.' Oh brother. lol It's textbook, in my opinion.

I said...welcome to the land of the narcs. I told her, if you don't break this off, you're in for a world of hurt in another month or two. Once they stop idealizing you...and start mentioning other women 'checking them out,' it's (the relationship) on the way out.

I 'think' she believes me, but I know how it is to be emotionally vested.

Anyways...curious as to your thoughts. Is this what you would call devaluing? I ask, because my ex N didn't really do this to me, in THIS way. It was more berating me, hanging up on me, that was the type of devaluing HE did.

She needs to join this site I told her! :)
